This is the soundtrack that introduced me into the world of metal. It was my first-ever movie soundtrack, too, and from the moment I first played it I was amazed and bloodlusting for more!! While the film itself was pale and moderately scary, the soundtrack made up for it with a blood-letting feast of 15 awesome hard rock and metal artists the likes of which I've never sunk my teeth into!

As I said, this soundtrack introduced me to the world of metal, it's become my way of life and I don't plan to go back! But enough mindless banter, the true stand-out artists that make this soundtrack the cream of the vampire crop are: Powerman 5000 (gotta love their new album), Disturbed (previously unreleased torture of the soul), Slayer (what can I say, they're Slayer!), System of A Down, Linkin Park, Pantera (now broken up), Static X (gotta love that big hair-do!), (hed)p.e., Taproot, Endo and all the rest, particulary Saliva (killa song by them, the very first I really feel in love with!).

Truly an outstanding piece of work by Columbia records, and one very worthy to be part of my collection. For other killer metal soundtrack albums, check out Heavy Metal 2000, The Scorpion King, Queen of the Damned, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and, my personal favorite, Freddy vs. Jason.
