stainless27's review of this soundtrack CD:

3 stars

This is a decent entry into the Hitman franchise - I've enjoyed the remixed version of "Ava Maria," which sets the tone pretty well in the opening credits.

A choppy or staccato motif that is 47's theme is okay.

There are some annoying choices made in the choice of notes, these produce a cheesy sound (obvious only when listening to the soundtrack) but these moments aren't clustered together.

I give it 3 stars because it worked during the film itself but as a listen it's just OK. It didn't really capture Agent 47 and his exploits (except in one scene near the end - see "My number is 47" - that track is the only one to work with the scene).

Recommended for any soundtrack collector, however, for Hitman enthusiasts, if you want to hear music that does capture his exploits, see Jesper Kyd's music for the Hitman games.
