In the last several months, John Powell has again proved adept at many different styles and moods. Stop-Loss, Horton Hears a Who, Jumper, and PS I Love You are all very different scores that show different sides of Powell's prodigious talent. The music for Stop-Loss is haunting and moving, with a beautiful trumpet theme as the anchor. Highly recommended.
