Well, this marks my 1000th post on MovieMusic.Com a time to reflect. I have been here since August or September of last year, I'm not quite sure. In the time I stumbled at this board I have met many new friends and and a few very good ones.Coming to this site on a daily basis and communicating with people who love film music as much as I do has been a blessing. Once I was lost now I am found. True, true.
I'd like to take this opportunity and thank a few people (ghheeess, sounds like I am receiving an award, hehe).
First: PeterK, for creating this site and managing it in a very professional and honoralbel manner.Peter you will never, ever know what this site means to me.
To Jeron, well buddy, meeting you here was the beginning of an incredible friendship. You are truly one of the most considerate, funniest and sharing individuals I have ever met (and I really haven't even met you yet).
Aaron Collins, another ace human being. What can I say, such a gift and just 17! You have always been very helpful, humble and are truly funny. The way you carried yourself in a crisis is a model for many.
Crono, well, you don't like to talk to me on AIM, but you are truly a knowledgable and funny guy. Don't work so hard.
SFT, hehe, you scare me, so it's good you're all the way in Denmark. If every composer had such a compasionate supporter as you have for Elfmann, ...well...we'd probably be dead. Seriously though, your skill in the English language was the first thing I notices about you. Truly you are a great individual.
Dan, my dear Bristish friend. What can I say. You have done more for me then you'll ever know. Hopefully we'll meet one day.
Audacity: You'll probably have sometining to say about this in the neighborhood that I really don't say much. You're right, I'm a blabbermounth, my mother wasn't able to beat it out of me and this site really only incourages it. You are a great and very patient person who has helped me so much. I truly appreciate it.
Norman, my fellow wrestler friend. You inspire me to dig deeper into myself and the issues of life and your posts and mail make me laugh and ponder at the same time. You're a great friend.
Floyed: Another link to my German heritage. Always great talking with you.
Kevin, please come back your humor is priceless.
Marc, Sebulba and so many more to write about, this site would get off line and Peter would hunt me down. All of you mean so much to me.
The new arrivals (FSM and Non-FSM) to see a new person here is to meet another guest in Peter's house and to love it.
All of you have been so great. It is a pleasure indeed a honor to be among you. To be part of this board is everything I could have ever imagined or wished for. This feels like a cyber-family and it is great to know a place where you can talk about the music you love and get to know your fellow film music admirers. No telling where the next thousand posts will take me,but of one thing I am sure. You guys have renewed my faith in the human species and for that I am eternally greatful.
God bless you all

Well, first:You need to get out more...

Second:
Thanks for the kind words. Iīm really glad you feel that way. Itīs been a great year (almost) for me here aswell, because Iīve met a lot of great people and I feel like Iīve gotten a bunch of new freinds. I really donīt feel any different about you guys then I do about a lot of my freinds here in Denmark. And many of them, I donīt even love as much as you...does that make me strange?

Third:
Well...there should always be a third, shouldnīt there...?

Wow! 1000 posts! Congrats and I appreciate all the wonderful comments!Scott is a great friend of mine(and yes, even though I haven't met him). He is very supportive, kind, and even knowledgable! He is one of the nicest guys you'll meet or talk to. We have a lot in common, Scott:
-Our favorite composer is John Williams
-We both love the WWF(TV's greatest soap opera)
-We are both in our 30's... hehehe
-We both have families that sometimes drive us nuts!Well, maybe not that much. But, if I had a teacher, I would pick you!
I can post for days about every single one of you! So, right now I won't get started. I am still working on posting 200. Everytime someone posts 1000, I will go ahead and write a brief description of our relationship and some more tidbits that make them who they are!
Once again Scott, Congrats!
Later,

Welcome to the club, Scott!
Not too long ago, in galaxy not very far away (referring to the now defunt FSM board), I posted a VERY similar post, "patting myself on the back" for reaching that landmark of 1000 posts. Have a look:
http://209.153.226.49/messageboard_html/Forum1/HTML/003481.htmlWe should start a community a la "the actors that get paid more than $20 million pr. film"-club!
