are there now ZERO record labels that know how to run their companies well-enough to get their stuff out on time, on their initial advertising dates? Is this too hard? It's not like they have to record the music.

Pete may be right. The original relase date provided by the official sources (Nov. 14) differs from what's listed on CDNow, Amazon.com and other preorder sites (Nov. 21).I'm gathering all the available info on this page: http://worldzone.net/music/johnwilliams/starwarsmusic/episode1/cds/ultimate.htm
Pete, do you have further news from Sony?

Ricard, I'm working hard to open the online store here. Be sure of this: before America switches their clocks back this weekend, the store will be open. The database this site uses is the record industry standard and very official. But this doesn't mean the latest release date won't move! In the last update, the latest date was listed as November 21, so that's what it is until the next update. Keep your eyes focused on the "new release" section where release dates are listed. Any updates will be listed there. Because this site focuses on movie soundtracks, you can probably bet the accuracy of such news will be higher here than mega stores like Amazon, CDNOW and others, as their main focus is on pop music!PeterK

When do you Americans turn back your clocks?
We Europeans just did about 20 minutes ago (it's just past 2 am on Sunday)

when do I set my clocks?
when I wake up of course, and then only to have the sheer joy of telling myself I have another hour of blissful sleep ahead!

I was driving to church this morning with 'The Clash of Lightsabers' from ESB blaring on my car stereo, and I suddenly thought what a blissful experience it will be when, in a few years time, we can watch the Star Wars films with isolated scores.
