I almost bought The Legend of 1900 today BUT I saw The Exorcist on DVD and that had 15% off aswell as a further 25% because the case was cracked.

Also, I picked up a Norman Bates action figure and 2 Wallace & Gromit key rings.
I think its about high time I grew up.

Obi, I noticed you had the boot of the 2 CD set of The Mummy. Is the part where the plane crashes into the sand and sinks on the CD. If, by chance it is, can I get a copy?
Anyways, back to the topic, The newest CD in my collection is Miss Congeniality.

I just received copies of The Tigger Movie promo and Remember the Titans promo. Harry Gregson-Williams did a decent job scoring the actions of Pooh bear and his friends but for some reason, I can't stop listening to Rabins wonderful score to that other Disney movie.

    Thumbs up for both.

Thats actually my excuse for buying the Norman Bates "doll".

I am a collector. "Psycho" is one of my most favourite films, so its justified.
Besides, its not my fault if I like to play.

Um, anyway, 2 nights ago I ordered from Amazon.com...

    Total Recall Deluxe
    Magnolia Score -- can't wait

Lee, does the Remember the Titans promo mostly have Rabin's score? Right now, the regular disc only features a few minutes of his score; the rest is a song compliation.
Where can this promo be purchased?
    Thank you.

    Just in:
Frequency - Michael Kamen (I made this from the iso)
Amanda - Basil Poledouris (Supercollector FINALLY sent it)
Intersection - James Newton Howard; This is most similar to The Prince Of Tides and The Man In The Moon. It has a good main theme, and some nice tracks here and there. I especially like the cues "The Auction," "The last Ride," and "He's Going Flat." "He's Going Flat" has a nice little bit at the beginning with chorus, sounding very frantic, and at the same time hopeless. Then it goes into a sad piano solo. IMO, best track on the CD. My rating for the score: ***½
Oh, and I got the Hollow Man DVD. I only bought it for the iso with Goldsmith commentary, though; I haven't even seen the film.
Won't be getting anything else for a bit, I think. My keyboard got a cup of water dumped in it, so now I need a new one (the one I'm using I borrowed from upstairs). Also, both my ink cartridges ran out.

    NP: Intersection, JNH ***½

For January I found all of the old Bonds for 7.99. Naturally of the many I ordered, the only unavailable was On Her Majesty's... often given very high regards here.

    I got:
Dr. No, which isn't that much fun unless you like strange tropical music,
    Thunderball,
    Diamonds are Forever,
    From Russia with Love, and
The Man with the Golden Gun.

In all honesty I'm glad it was just 7.99 a CD bc overall they're not super duper. The sound quality is obviously a detriment on some, but none of these are better than the ones I already had. Most notably is that I still like Moonraker the most of the non re-releases.

I already had Living Daylights, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, and Octopussy.

I got the following as presents, so I shouldn't complain:

The Perfect Storm and Bicentennial Man (James Horner). I wouldn't complain anyway, because I like Horner, but these two are quite exhausting. Good to dip into though.

I also got The Talented Mr. Ripley (Gabriel Yared). Pretty good obsessive score, though there's only about twenty minutes of it on the CD, the rest being taken up with (admittedly great) tracks by jazz giants such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and...Skinhead O'Connor.

I splurged on 3 used CDs:

    MISSION TO MARS (Ennio Morricone)
    THE CORRUPTOR (Carter Burwell)
    INSTINCT (Danny Elfman)

And in the mail, finally I saw some of those DVDs I ordered BEFORE Christmas:

    JAWS (deluxe)
    CLERKS (deluxe)
    THIS IS SPINAL TAP (deluxe)

A couple of weeks ago, THE EXORCIST (25th anniversary version -- I urge you all to boycott the so-called "version you've never seen" that just came out) also arrived.

I have yet to watch a frame or hear a note of any single one of these! Something to look forward to, though.

I just got Mysteries Of Egypt (IMAX) by Sam Cardon on CD from Borders. I've had the cassette for a while now, but it's in mono. Now that I have the CD, I can listen to this wonderful music in full stereo glory!
There were a LOT of other CDs there I wanted to buy, though; I was surprised by how many. I have no doubt that, had I had more than $20, I would have walked out of there with some 10 CDs, regardless of price. :P

Hollow Man 2 disc complete (taken from my DVD and Original Score)

Star Trek First Contact 2 disc (Disc one is complete version, Disc 2 is alternate cues, only runs 24 min. Basically tempo and orchestrations are different. Sound is not the greatest either.)
