Yo howdy ho my fellow moo'ers!

I here have got myself a 27-track leg of a boot with no dawg-gone titles! Would any of you gentle fellers (and felinas) be most gracious enough to clue an honest gent like myself in?

    I'd be most obliged...

    Mooooooo!
    Jeron

This is such spooky timing - only last night I was making myself some back cover art for this, and today Jeron goes and asks if anyone has the track titles.

LONELY ARE THE BRAVE - 27 track bootleg

    1. Opening (The Jets) 0:52
    2. I'll Be Careful 0:32
    3. Tender Farewell Pt.1 1:58
    4. The Tooth 0:58
    5. Dogs & Fire Hydrants Pt.1 0:18
    6. Dogs & Fire Hydrants Pt.2 0:57
    7. Helicopter/Spooked Horse 1:31
    8. The Hunted * 3:41
    9. untitled * 1:24
    10. The Lonely And The Brave * 1:06
    11. Scouting/The Squirrel 2:58
    12. untitled * 0:15
    13. Jack Burns * 0:57
    14. Theme From Lonely Are The Brave * 1:30

    16. Towards The Rim/Retribution 2:53
    17. Tough Decision (Jack Returns For His Horse) 2:24
    18. One-Armed Brawl 3:12
    19. Jailhouse Beating/I Can't Go 4:16
    20. partial of track 19 0:45
    21. Adios Amigo (Jack Escapes From Jail) 2:22
    22. Closing In/Pine Tree Escape 3:10
    23. Way Above The Foothills * 1:51
    24. Tender Farewell Pt.2 3:33
    25. Welcome Home/Ham & Eggs 2:31
    26. A Moment To Reflect * 1:21
    27. Jerry's Theme * 2:41

    * indicates music not used in film.

I've used track titles from the Tsunami boot where appropriate, to allow comparisons with that recording.

    Missing from both boots:

    1. Main Title and River Crossing (doh!)
    2. I'll Bet You're Way Above The Rim
    3. Horse Scramble (one of the most exciting cues)
    4. Wounded Foot
    5. Ambulance and Fadeout

Anyone who wants a JPEG of my back cover, just holler by e-mail. It's quite nice.

It figures...the SL boot is all over the place!
At least the BEST boot attempted to put the score in order!

How's the sound on that longer boot anyway? Better fidelity than the BEST boot right?

    Ciao,
    Sean

Funnily enough, I think the Best boot is the, er, best boot. Sound is brighter. On the SL, it's a bit murky in places. Plus, as you say, the sequencing is friendlier - and Tender Farewell, a really nice cue, plays as one track, as intended, not two!

Thanks fellas!! You guys are, as Scott would say, DOPE! (That's supposed to be a compliment!)... but then we all know how those folks in California talk...

"duh... uhh... hey dude. let's go smoke a dooby. wanna learn how to surf? i just bleached my hair... what's my name again?"

Moo! <-- cow speak! in Texas, that means "Thanks and have a wonderful day - and be sure to say hi to your folks for me!"

    How is this score?

The only clip I've heard from Lonely Are the Brave is the cl on the Deconstructing Goldsmith website. It sounds awfully similar to the theme from The Loner! (Which isn't a bad thing.)

Indeed - I just watched the film for the first time! (Thanks, "Majesty" )

Nice score, remarkably Rosenman-ish in some places. Probably the first Goldsmith Western score I've heard, but it wets my appetite for all those FSM discs.

NP: Small Soldiers Expanded (the G-Man)

Sean, I'm sorry. Many of you speak just fine. It's the people in Long Beach that really get to me.

I've only got the Best boot, so I can't compare it to the other one. You're right, Jonathan: Goldsmith reused part of the later action music of this score for The Loner. By the way, there's a bit ("Bar Room Brawl", I think, on Best) that sounds just like part of the opening titles to Tarantula. As Joseph Gershenson is credited as music director on that spidery classic, and seeing as he conducted Goldsmith's LATB, I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on the possible story behind this piece. That's a difficult question, I suppose!

Yeah, you answered, all right. I just didn't have your reply at the time I wrote the above post, and some of my recent mails never arrived, so I asked.
