Here's the full details:JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK
Original Motion Picture ScoreMusic Composed by James Venable
JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK is the final installment of Kevin Smith's acclaimed New Jersey chronicles (Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy). The fan base is enormous for Jay and Silent Bob, with countless dedicated websites and a huge online following watching for every detail to emerge from this new and concluding chapter of their adventures.
When Jay and Silent Bob learn that a Bluntman and Chronic movie is being made featuring their comic book counterparts, they drool at the thought of fat movie checks rolling in. But when the pair find that there won't be any royalties coming their way, they set out to sabotage the flick at all costs.
The stoner duo makes the cross-country trip from New Jersey to Hollywood and along the way they meet up with a quartet of sexy diamond thieves (that's Chrissy, Sissy, Missy and Justice)...and an orangutan. The escaped orangutan gets a federal wildlife marshal on their tail, and the whole shebang climaxes as Jay and Silent Bob make it to the Miramax lot, crashing through the sets of a whole bunch of movies, both real and imaginary. And, oh, yeah - the "secret origin" of Jay and Silent Bob is finally revealed!
One of the most anticipated films of the summer, with an enormous cult following, Miramax's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will open on August 24.

BABY BOY
Original Motion Picture ScoreMusic Composed By David Arnold
Ten years after the release of the seminal Boyz 'n the Hood, acclaimed director John Singleton returns to the same inner-city L.A. neighborhood for the story of a misguided 20-year-old African American man (Tyrese Gibson), a 'baby boy' facing the commitments of real life.Streetwise and jobless, he has not only fathered two children by two different women - Yvette (Taraji P. Henson) and Peanut (Tamara Bass) - but still lives with his own mother. He can't seem to strike a balance or find direction in his chaotic life. To make matters worse, Jody must contend with his volatile best friend, Sweetpea (Omar Gooding), who has spent his life shuffling in and out of prison and seems to find trouble wherever he goes.
Baby Boy features a poignant R&B score featuring some of the best session musicians in New York. The score was composed by David Arnold.
Baby Boy, a cautionary South Central tale that pulls no punches as it examines the complexities of the extended black family, is a Columbia Pictures presentation of a John Singleton film. Baby Boy opened to rave reviews on June 27.

RUSH HOUR 2
Original Motion Picture ScoreMusic Composed by Lalo Schifrin
Get ready for a second Rush!
The fastest hands in the East reteams with the biggest mouth in the West in Rush Hour 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 1998 blockbuster action-comedy that grossed over $250 million worldwide.
Rush Hour 2 begins with Chief Inspector Lee of the Royal Hong Kong Police (JACKIE CHAN) and LAPD detective James Carter (CHRIS TUCKER) arriving in Hong Kong for a vacation. Armed with his Chinese-English dictionary, Carter is looking forward to a much-needed vacation and to sampling some of the city's many exotic delights. But Lee, the ever-dedicated policeman, continues with his duties, frustrating Carter.
No sooner do they arrive, than they are confronted with the biggest case of their careers - a bomb has exploded in the American Embassy, killing two U.S. Customs agents who had been investigating a money smuggling ring that is producing and shipping millions in "superbills," high-grade counterfeit U.S. $100 bills.
The Hong Kong police suspect the chief architect behind the blast is Ricky Tan (JOHN LONE), the elegant and cunning head of the Fu-Cang-Long Triad, the deadliest gang in China. Inspector Lee is assigned to crack the case, much to the chagrin of Carter, who is caught up in the events against his will and feels his vacation plans slipping away. For Lee the case is personal - Ricky Tan was once his father's partner on the Hong Kong police force and played a direct role in his father's death.
Along the way they must contend with Tan's beautiful and deadly henchwoman Hu Li (ZHANG ZIYI, who captivated audiences with her role as Jen Yu in the Academy Award-winning epic, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), billionaire hotel owner and key Ricky Tan associate Steven Reign (legendary actor/comedian ALAN KING) and the alluring, mysterious and seemingly corrupt U.S. secret service agent Isabella Molina (ROSELYN SANCHEZ).
The action returns Stateside for a brief detour through Los Angeles before climaxing in a spectacular, action-filled finale at the opening night of the Red Dragon Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
The exciting score is by legendary jazz and film composer Lalo Schifrin. Schifrin, composer of such classic themes as Mission: Impossible, Mannix and Mod Squad as well as the scores for such classic action films as Dirty Harry, Bullitt, Cool Hand Luke and Enter The Dragon, here returns to his roots with an exciting and exotic score for one of the summer's biggest event films.
New Line Cinema releases Rush Hour 2 nationwide on August 3, 2001

CATS & DOGS
Original Motion Picture SoundtrackMusic Composed by John Debney
Since the beginning of time, a war for control of planet Earth has been fought between two worthy adversaries. It is a war so secret, so covert that it could be happening in your very own living room!Unbeknownst to humans, the struggle for world domination waged between cats and dogs has been held in check by an uneasy truce. But that period of peace is about to disintegrate. A power-mad Persian cat, Mr. Tinkles, has broken from the fray to lead a massive feline movement against man's best friend. The crack canine agents, who have been protecting the entire human race, are in trouble. One of their top field dogs has been put out of commission and they have been forced to employ the use of a rookie Beagle puppy agent named Lou.
As the maniacal Mr. Tinkles and his army of highly trained soldiers begin a mass mobilization, the fate of humankind rests in the paws of a young pup that has yet to prove himself in battle. With mercenaries, assassins and secret agents running amok, will puppy love and ingenuity be enough to save the world?
This isn't cute. This isn't cuddly. This is war!
Taking all of this very seriously is John Debney's wonderful, action-packed, Mission: Impossible-influenced score.

"O"
Original Motion Picture ScoreMusic Composed by Jeff Danna
WINNER! Best Director from the Seattle Film FestivalThe controversial and acclaimed film "O" will finally be released on August 31. Taking its inspiration from the wildly successful modern day retelling of Romeo and Juliet, which starred Leonardo DeCaprio and Claire Danes, "O" contemporizes Shakespeare's Othello and translates the classic tale onto the basketball courts of a high school.
The story focuses on a young black man named Odin (Phifer) who is convinced by a conniving best friend, Hugo (Hartnett) that his girlfriend (Stiles) is cheating on him. Of course, what Odin doesn't know is that Hugo is in fact motivated by his own jealousy of Odin's good fortune. It's an emotional and tragic tale of love, sex, betrayal and death. The film opens with the hauntingly beautiful Ave Maria aria from Verdi's Otello. This is featured on the CD, along with Jeff Danna's heartbreakingly poignant score.
The Miramax / Lionsgate film "O" opens nationwide on August 31.
