The extended boot notwithstanding, what has kept this 1983-4 (?) Jerry Goldsmith score from getting a legitimate release? It's one of very few Goldsmith scores to which there was NO soundtrack release at all.

It's a fine score to which anyone who has seen the (cheesy) movie or heard the Goldsmith Tribute CD can attest.

    Inquiring minds want to know.

There is also the selection of cues on the Goldsmith Tribute CD. The Family.Idyll and Rampage. The Rescue. The Legend. As to the reason why the full score was never released. Well it was a Disney movie. Nuff said.

Yes, I have both of the above mentioned CDs. It's exactly because of the Tribute CD that I know that this would be a great score to have as a complete release. The Rescue cue is a vintage Goldsmithian odd-metered action piece.
