what film music CDS you want for Christmas? (And you better be willing to leave Santa
lots of treats of Christmas Eve. Forget “cheese.”)

I asked for The Essential Alfred Newman: The Man From Galilee and Lalo Schifrin’s Cool
Hand Luke. I may be increasing my list after I see a few new films in November and
December. Greed is good! One dollar shipping to also good.

Also am leaving my usual notes around the house and lots of pictures of diamonds. Notes
read, “It is not the thought that counts; it’s the price tag. When it comes to diamonds,
size DOES count.” Hubby always manages to not see those even when taped to mirrors,
his wallet, and his underwear.. Hmmm.

    Your Christmas Wish list???

Well Dan, as you very well know, it's like Christmas for me year round... so when ya already have most everything ya want, it really doesn't leave much room for anything else. I'm very fortunate in this regard. Besides, while nice to recieve gifts, that's not what Christmas is about for me. The greatest present I'll be getting this holiday season is a plane ticket back to Texas, where I'll find a warm home and two of the greatest parents anyone could ask for. Now maybe justin and I sound a wee bit greedy, but heck, it's Christmas! We can at least WISH! Ms. Claus wants to know what PeterK and dgoldwas want. Surely there must be some piece of film music you don't have. (Maybe something not out yet?)

Mommy Joan, Varese delivered Christmas in May with the release of The Ballad of Cable Hogue. Since then, I've been scrambling to figure which unreleased movie music is at the top of my list. Still haven't figured it out (lots of options disappearing quickly with all these limited editions around), so perhaps something more practical might suffice: I wish for a few people to work for The MovieMusic Company, stuffing CDs into mailers, for no pay. Greedy, right? We can wish.

I dunno what dgoldwas wants, but I'll certainly sign him up to work for MM for free. He's got good experience working for free in the movie music industry... almost overqualified!

Dan, I kid. Laugh it off. I know you are busy.

PeterK, those are reasonable wishes. I think the Assy Retardant Kings that haunt
this Board definitely owe you some free labor. Call them your A.R. Elves!
I know you’re a fairly new dad. When I had two new babies, all I wished for was one
bloody night of sleep, just one. Didn’t get it.

Maybe I'll ask Santa to let me be the next Bond Babe! BBLLEECCCK!

I'd like about another 8 hours in the day to listen to all the scores I already have.

I recently got World, The Flesh and the Devil, Ivanhoe, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Sand Pebbles, HeartBeeps and Walk in the Clouds.

Some are still shrinkedwrapped! I've been as busy as one armed paperhanger and the releases keep coming!

I'm almost afraid not to buy them because I do want them and I worry that I will miss out on them, like I did the WIld Bunch.

So More Time to listen and if the spirits declare it so, The Wild Bunch FSM CD.

I do believe in Santa, but I can't honestly believe that even he would be able to bring me the following AUTHENTIC, COMPLETE movie scores to make my collection a most satisfying one:

AMAZING STORIES: Title Themes (John Williams)
AMAZING STORIES: GHOST TRAIN (John Williams)
    FAMILY PLOT (John Williams)
    DRACULA (John Williams)

And then the others as well...

    HIGH ANXIETY (John Morris)
TOM SAWYER (Sherman & Sherman & John Williams)
THE RESCUERS (1977 Disney Classic; Artie Butler + All Songs)
    TRANSYLVANIA 6-5000 (Lee Holdridge)
BIG BUSINESS (Lee Holdridge & Marc Shaiman)
    OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE (Alan Silvestri)
SANTA CLAUS: THE MOVIE (Henry Mancini)
SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER AND UNCUT (Marc Shaiman; score only)
CLASH OF THE TITANS (Laurence Rosenthal)
    CINDERELLA LIBERTY (John Williams)
POLTERGEIST II (Jerry Goldsmith; Complete Score)

    - - - However, if even the Easter Bunny fails to bring me any of these, then I will DO something about the matter myself next summer

There's only one sure way to get all the CDs you desire - tell everyone you want socks with pictures of reindeer on them, and the box set of Classic Songs From The Movies - "as advertised on TV."

No CDs, just money! I am trying to save up for a Playstation 2. That said, any and all gift certificates will be applied to my CD purchases in January...

Well, I am also going to go and put another order in for some of Varese's Club releases. Though, it really won't apply since I plan on doing this before Christmas!

Well, I already know I'm getting the DIE ANOTHER DAY soundtrack, but...

    THE PRIZE (Goldsmith)
    BLOW OUT (Donaggio)
OUR MAN FLINT/IN LIKE FLINT (Goldsmith)
INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM (Williams)

Oh, and a whole bunch of CDs from Varese, Intrada, FSM and others, but I'd crash MM.com if I posted my entire wants list here.

I'd like some Rozsa as well, but I'm still not sure which onse to go for.
