Well, the old pole thing should be droped and one where we have to use are name, so someone can't vote twice or more.A poll for what we want to be polled on?
Hummm... let me chew on this for awhile.

Why not wait for TTT and give us a 'best of 2002' poll?Or how about a 'best young composer of 2002' poll?
Or be negative and give us a 'which composer is most past his prime?' poll.

Or, because we're all Romulans and Remans, poll the crowd about the new Trek score and how it ranks against the others.

Best Bond Song would be good, but I'd have to narrow the options down to the previous 5, otherwise we'd have a page that scrolls and scrolls (being message board people, you probably wouldn't mind!). "Best Arnold Bond CD" is what I am leaning towards.Keep 'em coming....

Well, by picking the past 5 Bond songs, it kinda limits it to "Surrender" as the sure-fire winner.
How about a poll asking what our favorite Goldsmith Trek Score is? (Kinda like the Arnold poll, I suppose....)

(And Jonathan, I never said CSS was required. You and Kevin don't know how to read.)

Dan, I meant something else with "keep 'em coming." Once the poll is in place, I will create a thread specifically for discussing that poll.More poll ideas, please. Keep 'em coming.

Stupid poll suggestions:Will Marco Beltrami fulfill expectations on Terminator 3?
a) Yes.
b) No.
c) Maybe.
d) How should I know? Who is Marco Beltrami and what expectations are you talking about?Which is the better orchestra for rerecordings?
a) The City of Prague Philharmonic "Orchestra".
b) The Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
c) The Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
d) The Ciinncciinnaattii Pops.Who is Alfred Newman?
a) The greatest film composer of all time.
b) A good composer, but no more.
c) Never heard of him or his music. <- liar.posted 11-25-2002 11:24 AM PT (US)

OK, still on the Bond Song theme (sorry Peter), why not narrow the list one song for each of the five Bonds?Bradley

Dan, a Goldsmith Trek poll is about as boring as watching a mule-less wagon go. Who here doesn't know the result of that one?Dinko, thanks for the stupidity. Stupid brilliance!

Hmmm, well, I'm biased, but1) Sean Connery - Goldfinger
2) George Lazenby - We Have All the Time in the World
3) Roger Moore - Live and Let Die
4) Timothy Dalton - License to Kill
5) Pierce Brosnan - SurrenderPossible Substitutes:
You Only Live Twice and From Russia with Love for Sean Connery.Nobody Does It Better and A View to a Kill for Roger Moore.
If You Asked Me To for Timothy Dalton.

It's just your opinion - you asked for suggestions, and didn't tell us to limit it to things only YOU would like.

Bradley, thanks! Interesting slant and a unique poll idea. What do others think? Haven't decided between this one and the Arnold Bond CD poll.Dan, in the years I've ever encountered any discussion about Goldsmith and his Trek scores, there has been unanimity among all with regard to his best for the franchise. As for David Arnold's best, I can't say it has been clear to me which is the unanimous (if there even should be unanimous) choice. Read up on reviews of Arnold's Bond scores and this should quickly become apparent.
This is not about me as suggested. It snot.

Ah, I get it, Peter. Thanks! It's easier to discount my suggestion cause of "unanimity among all".

Dan, sometimes it's impossible to figure your winks out. You have a wink right beside your suggestion (good, too, as I thought you were winking exactly about the "obviousness" of such a poll), you get bent? If a wink is to throw ambiguity on your comment, it worked.

My wink was clearly referring to the part about how it's like the Arnold Bond poll. Nothing more should be inferred.Dan
