Anyone have any news on what John Ottman might be up to after X2 has blown over???Seems he isn't currently attached to anything which is disappointing.It's obviously going to be interesting to see what kind of projects he gets offered in the near future and if X2 gets him noticed enough to open up other large-scale projects or if he keeps doing smaller films, which he has handled so brilliantly in the past.

Any inside scoop on the dvd Dan? Is he contributing just music for supplemental or menus?

But he'll do a commentary, and there will be a lot of behind-the-scenes documentary stuff, including a nice 11+ minute featurette just on him. I'm meeting with the DVD producer this weekend, and giving him the 40+ minutes of scoring session footage I shot, so hopefully some of that might show up on the disc!
Either way, Ottman will certainly have a presence on the DVD.

I think Ottman did an excellant job editing the film. I saw his name credited as the Editor and almost did a double take. I didn't know he was more than a composer. I checked his site and found out he has done a number of more things.

Yeah. As an editor myself I think he totally rocked (and he usually does.) You should take a look at "The Usual Suspects" and "Apt Pupil."--Brian

Um I think it was during a phone call at some point during the scoring sessions.Maybe you said "it would be cool" or something like that.
Oh well, but it would be cool.
