So, November 7th it will be then.
Can't wait! Which is an understatement, reallyIs there any special reason for the delay? Well, actually, it's not really a delay, since the October date was never official.

I'm crying, tears of joy are coming out my eyes.......!!!!!!!!!.....I'm as happy as happy can be!!!
Although, one thing that has got me crying for more information, and that is how much longer than three hours is it going to be...I know that Doug has said ---
>>>It sounds spectacular… and I haven’t even heard the DVD version yet. It’ll be longer than FOTR: CR, that’s all I can say right now. The press release will hint at a playing time, but as I noted in an earlier post, it’ll be deceptive.>>>
---
I sure hope that it is more than half an hour, maybe forty five minutes!!!!!!!an hour!!!???
Information....Information...Information...

Hopefully "over 180 minutes" doesn't mean 180 mintues and 35 seconds. Its gotta be more though. The TT EE is about 15 mintues longer than the FOTR EE, so I'd say there is at least 5 more minutes of score. Hopefully most of it will be included on the TT CR.

---
>>>Homemade isolated TTT scores will offer a very enlightening look into this film’s process, I think. You’ll be amazed at how many little bits here and there were altered in some way. I’m working my way through the Annotated Score material now, and I think that for Disc One alone I’ve created nearly 10 “Unused Concept” boxes.>>>
---
TFOTR CR had a total of seven unused concepts (if I recall correctly).
Maybe it will be just over 200 minutes, as they have said 180, and we will be just that more excited, although I do hope for more!!!Good on ya Doug Adams

The pic of the cover in the press release can't be the real thing, it looks exactly like that earlier photoshopped image on that spanish blog. I wonder why it was used here as Doug said there were changes in the design.

>Hey vdemona...looks like there's not going to be any withdrawal symptoms after 2007 after all...it's official, MGM has announced that they'd like to do The Hobbit in the next few years - maybe in 2 parts, and maybe with Peter jackson at the wheel.<That sounds like a wonderful bit of news to me!
Phooey! We have to wait until November 7! I guess I won't die! The packaging looks just as beautiful as I had thought it would.

Quite frankly, I'm not impressed with the press release. Maybe it's because there really is no new information about TTT:CR except for the confirmation that Eowyn's Dirge has made it.But YAAAAYYYY nonetheless

The press release! Finally! But why does the cover looks like the hoaxed one?And how many extra minutes of music it'll have?If it's over 180 it can't be 15 minutes, otherwise it would've said over 190 minutes.Well,at least we know the release date and it's a month before FOTR:CR was released. And that's good.Looking forward to seeing more photos and hearing some samples.

Come on, what did we expect, a re-design from scratch? Doug said the overall look will be similar to FOTR, the improvements are in the details. That said, I find the cover very beautiful, I'm very anxious to get a glimpse at the inside.

Right dude...I wudn't want the cover to look any different from FOTR:CR, that wud spoil the "collection" This is good, nah, it's great. And Beren Beren are u anxious to see whether the Gandalf book cover inside looks like the one in that hoax? I am now...

YEAH!!! Finally, the press release is here! I'm glad to hear about Miranda Otto's piece being included, though I'm a little disappointed by the change of release date. Oh well, at least we can now start the official countdown.

Maybe he went on a well- deserved vacation now that the liner notes are finished. But in case he still IS around:
did they make any significant improvements in the sound quality? I remember John Kurlander saying in FSM magazine that all three scores were recorded in the same quality, even though technology advanced over the course of the three years the movies were scored in.
I don't know much about sound/mixing technology, but are these CR in any way different from the OSTs or the film mixes?quote:

Hmmm...I guess I'm disappointed that the press release has now "new" info, since Doug kept hinting at stuff all along and at any given point in time, his post is more, well, exciting to read?? as compared to press releases. Look how "tomorrow" got us all started hehehh Pretty good trade-off immho.
