    RUNNING SCARED
    Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Mark Isham

From the acclaimed director of THE COOLER!

Paul Walker stars in the fast-paced crime drama RUNNING SCARED from critically acclaimed director Wayne Kramer. Walker plays a low-level mobster who, in order to save his family, must recover a gun used in a mob hit before it’s found by his bosses or the cops. And lest you think it’s just another mob film, Kramer reveals a deeper subtext within the film’s story. He says he envisioned it as “a child’s Grimm’s fairy tale nightmare, but taking place in a mob world.”

The adrenaline-charged score is by renowned jazz composer and trumpet virtuoso Mark Isham.

New Line’s RUNNING SCARED will open nationwide on February 24, 2006.

    THE PINK PANTHER
    Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Christophe Beck

    Steve Martin is Inspector Clouseau
    Kevin Kline
    Beyoncé Knowles

A famous soccer coach has been murdered and his priceless ring stolen — a ring set with the stunning diamond known as the Pink Panther. Cracking the case becomes a national obsession, and Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Kevin Kline), up for the prestigious Medal of Honor … again … for the seventh time … can’t afford any mistakes — at least none that can be attributed to him. Enter indefatigable Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin), a name that strikes fear into … well, everyone. A stunning pop star (Beyoncé), a soccer player, a Chinese assassin — who committed the crime? His deductive powers are limited, his command of the language frightening, his reflexes hazardous. His approach may be alarmingly unorthodox, but he always solves the crime — in his own fashion — with hilarious results.

The fun and exciting score was composed by Christophe Beck, with a large tip of the hat to the late, great Henry Mancini. Mancini’s classic original theme is given a thrilling new performance here and also woven throughout the new score with some inventive arrangements.

    Think Pink!

Sony Pictures’ THE PINK PANTHER opens nationwide on February 10.

    INSIDE MAN
    Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Terence Blanchard

    Denzel Washington
    Clive Owen
    Jodie Foster

A New Film by Spike Lee

A powerhouse cast led by Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster is brought together for the crime drama Inside Man, a watertight thriller in which a philosophical bank robber, out to stage the perfect heist, leads a group of detectives, lawyers and bank officials through a brilliantly constructed hall-of-mirrors...where nothing is exactly as it seems. Inside Man is produced by Brian Grazer and directed by Spike Lee.

Washington stars as New York police detective Keith Miller, a tough, street-smart cop fighting for a promotion while trying to live down accusations of misconduct connected to his last case. When he and his partner are dispatched to the scene of an in-progress bank robbery and hostage crisis, Miller must face off against a well-educated criminal (Owen) masterminding a concisely plotted operation. As negotiations grow more strained, a powerful lawyer with mysterious ties (Foster) becomes involved in the crisis...and Miller slowly begins to realize that in this ultimate game of cat and mouse, rules are arbitrary, all roles are up for grabs and the black-and-white of right and wrong has blurred to a shadowy landscape of gray.

The score for Inside Man was written and recorded by Terence Blanchard and is a powerful and stirring blend of orchestral and jazz themes.

Universal Pictures’ Inside Man opens nationwide on March 24.

I feel the same way, BMikeJ. I just watched the trailer for Inside Man this evening and can't wait to see it. Terence Blanchard is a favorite of mine from WAAAY back.
I'd like to pick up Running Scared and Lost, as well.

Someone please clue me into what all the hype's about with Lost. I'm sure it's great, I'd just like some substantiating verbage... what about Giacchino's work on the show gets you so excited? I'm too busy and I'm already full to the brim watching Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, Boston Legal, etc. to add Lost to the mix. So, sell the music to me, please! I would like to share your enthusiasm. On another note, Beck's Pink Panther score sounds enticing... me likes big tips of the hat to Mancini.

Are there liner notes that tell what episodes the cues are from or what scene they accompanied?

I'm curious to know where you got a tracklist as it isn't on Varese's site. Also, a lot of the titles are rather humorous...are they for real?
