THE INVASION is a nightmarish journey into a world where the only way to stay alive is to stay awake. The mysterious crash of the space shuttle leads to the terrifying discovery that there is something alien within the wreckage. Those who come in contact with it are changing in ominous and inexplicable ways. Soon Washington D.C. psychiatrist Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman) and her colleague Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig) learn the shocking truth about the growing extraterrestrial epidemic: it attacks its victims while they sleep, leaving them physically unchanged but strangely unfeeling and inhuman. As the infection spreads, more and more people are altered and it becomes impossible to know who can be trusted. Now Carol’s only hope is to stay awake long enough to find her young son, who may hold the key to stopping the devastating invasion.

Patrick Doyle’s score is one of his best. It’s a ravishingly beautiful and exotic work which also has moments of thrilling drama. The score culminates in a spectacular Romance for Violin and Orchestra. Patrick’s Doyle’s As You Like It is one of the film music highlights of the year!

HBO Films will premiere As You Like It on August 21.

Accompanied by his friends and a mysterious envoy from Constantinople, Romulus travels to Britannia in search of the last Roman Legion — the fabled Dragon Legion. There, Romulus will fight alongside his friends to make his last stand for Rome and take his first steps to becoming a man and the king who would father a legend.

The sweeping, epic symphonic score is by one of the great master composers of our time, Patrick Doyle. Doyle’s music for such Kenneth Branagh classics as Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing, together with his scores for Sense and Sensibility, A Little Princess and Bridget Jones’s Diary establish him as a film music great early on.

The Weinstein Company opens The Last Legion nationwide on August 24.
