Hope the score turns out well. Kloser is scoring it with a guy named Thomas Wanker? Too bad Emmerich never stuck with Arnold. The Day After Tomorrow wasn't that good. I'm looking for a Stargate with even more ethnic sounds kind of score.

You're probably setting yourself up for disappointment.

Day After Tomorrow wasn't that good? Was that refering to the score or the film? Either way I think it applies. It had a good main title (which was very close to the Thin Red Line in my eyes... which would make sense since they used it in the trailer). I think Mr. Wanker wrote additional music for DAT, but I am not sure. But I too wish he kept Arnold.

Yeah, well, I'm looking for a Speed with a radical acid jazz twist to it, and some bongos.

...which hardly constitutes the score as a whole being worthy of praise. Kloser's music functioned well. That's all it did. The main theme is memorable. That's all it is. Beyond that, it's all very two dimensional and forgettable. Not unlike the movie.

    The End.

    Cheers,

Exactly how I feel. I think on the CD there's like 2 really listenable tracks. The Main Title cue and then The President's Speech, both of which sound pretty much the same except the latter is a bit more dramatic. It's funny, on the Special Edition DVD there's this trailer (that wasn't used theatrically I don't think) that uses The President's Speech and makes the movie look all dramatic and serious when really, the movie is kind of the opposite. I'm sorry but I can't take a CG wolf chase seriously. Or CG animals in general which this movie had a lot of. I think if it was a more popcorny disaster movie (like ID4 or Armageddon) it would've been more entertaining. Then again, had they actually made it more serious with better action scenes that aren't clumsy (hello wolf chase again), it could've also been a pretty good dramatic movie. But giving these actors this horrid dialogue and stupid Father/Son bonding story just kind of killed what could've been an awesome disaster movie. Why did I write all this about Day After Tomorrow? I have no clue, I am just waiting for this disc to finish burning.

Is this a case like the developing news on the Rambo score? Something that's so outrageous it just HAS to be true?!

And should I only pronounce his last name with an English accent (Cockney)?

Yeah, the score was very forgettable. The movie was as well. This is another big chance to prove himself. Did I read Kloser is a writer for the film, too?

I'm sorry, I just read the back of the Blu-Ray here... When did Wanker change his name to Wander and why? When I looked at the score I didn't even notice he changed his name. I just read it as Wanker.

The why seems obvious to me.

I knew I shouldn't have made fun of him all those times!!! But seriously, if your names already out there, just let it go. Even on IMDB he's Thomas Wanker, and sometimes credited as Wander.
