I just saw this film today and enjoyed it very much, so I wanted to know what others on this board thought of the film and its music.I've read many critical reviews which criticize August Rush for its sappiness and for being overly sentimental. This is something I just don't understand. Does emotion have to be stripped down to its subtlest form for critics to appreciate it?

I'm seeing this moving within a few hours, I'm pumped.I think critics these days are lame. i like to make up my own thoughts then offer then when asked for.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!I hope there's some kind of score release, some really great stuff here, both orchestra and percussion.

You mean the 2 tracks from the album aren't enough?!?! Especially the first one with dialogue all over it?!?! Come on now... You's crazy...
