I have no doubts that it will be better than Fight the Future, but I've been reading elsewhere from some fans that claim it might have been a better Millenium/Frank Black movie than a Mulder/Scully movie. I'm very interested in the Billy Connelly subplot of this one, and I can't wait to see Duchovny and Anderson on screen together again but I think I might be more impressed if I saw the film in it's inteneded way: at home, with the lights off, the sound turned up, and on a nice TV . . . just like I used to with the series (aside from the nice TV part, but maybe I should bust out my old 13-inch TV from my youth?).

I believe The X-Files was the first TV show I watched in Stereo.... ohhhh the days... And Armageddon was the first movie I saw in Dolby Surround, and Dante's Peak was the first movie I saw in DTS. All at home of course...

Anyway, I look forward to the Blu-Ray of this (and the first film, but more so the second). I've never watched Mellenium though...

Funny story, just looking at the back of the CD case and it says "Total timing 56:43" but it's actually 71:53. The score (minus the UNKLE variation on the X-Files theme) is 57:16. Very odd...

I already did, they told me not to panic, and to just enjoy the CD. Little do they know, I actually just shut the CD off at the 56:43 mark so that the CD case isn't such a liar... AHAHEHAHAHA!!! Man this cold sucks....

This is exactly how it should be seen. Was pretty disappointed. Was fun seeing Anderson and Duchovny together again, but I kept waiting for them to up the ante in some surprise twist, and it never happened. I left the theater feeling quite "meh" -- also, the end credits are the most bizarre I've ever seen. They felt amateurish and thrown together at the last minute. The final shot of the film, after the end credits... seemed like a pointless use of budget monies.

The end credits bugged the crap out of me. I didn't mind the song as the first movie also had a song in it. At first it didn't bug me because they did the whole "liquid" stuff for the first movie. But then the last few shots were like "... yeah...."

I also felt the climax wasn't intense enough for what it was. But that all still didn't make me feel "meh" about the film. I think it was because I wasn't expecting much. I felt like the first film had a much better movie in itself, but it needed some trimming and changes as far as characters go and things like that. This one I didn't feel like it needed that. Though the ending and parts of the score reminded me of Scream 3 and I can't quite put my finger on why. It might've been the orchestrations in the score with the choir and stuff, but I am not sure.

And no, it's not cold in MN yet, but I think my allergies must've flared up or something and I ended up with a lovely sore throat right after my b-day.
