When are you going to add BUG and BANGKOK DANGEROUS to the briantyler site? haha.

Apparently BUG is getting the Amazon CD-R treatment.

Just STIs. I hope it's not terrible like Rambo: Damn, that score pisses me off.

I thought your score was much better Sean. It was like Gustavo playing Jerry, who could reject that?!

Plus the new theme I played you on my keyboard was like the Autobots theme from Transformers meets the guitars from Con Air.

Off topic a bit here, but I am curious as to why so many dislike the Rambo score?

Listen to Goldsmith's original three, than play Tyler's Rambo and the caliber in scoring from Goldsmith to Tyler is immediately evident, even in Tyler's treatment, or lack-there-of of Goldsmith's original Rambo theme. This becomes even more problematic when you get to the action music, there's just no comparison. Tyler uses mainly percussion in his action here, and if he uses that route than he better, at the very least, be ready to own up to what Bear McCreary does on Battlestar Galactica with percussive action (because no one does it better than McCreary, at the moment)... Tyler's approach is rudimentary and boring.

Heard it in the movie (hilarious, BTW!), and it isn't very interesting-slash-downright forgettable. There's a fake heroic theme for Cage that plays maybe twice in the movie that's O.K., but again it sounds like something that any of Zimmer's old co-workers might have written.
